News
from Denmark:
DVNU - the Danish Veterinary Nurses´ Union - is a trade union
and an association for Danish veterinary nurses and student nurses.
We are very internationally oriented and we are involved in VETNNET
www.vetnnet.com and ACOVENE
www.acovene.com Also, we are
starting up a cooperation between the Scandinavian countries Norway,
Sweden and Denmark.
I am the president of the union. My name is Yvonne Thomsen. I am
a veterinary nurse. I have worked in the veterinary business for
10 years, and now I am employed by the DVNU. My personal e-mail
address is yth@forbundet.dk
The official e-mail address of the DVNU is vf@forbundet.dk
Besides myself, we have 6 other board members, who are all practicing
veterinary nurses. Furthermore, we have appointed a very well travelled
veterinary nurse to be responsible for our international relations.
Her name is Vibeke Dahl Clausen vf@forbundet.dk
Vibeke and I like to spend our holidays visiting vet.nurses and
technicians abroad. If anyone is interested in coming to Denmark
and experiencing what veterinary nursing is like here, we would
be happy to show them our places of work and give them advice on
where to stay and so on.
